Thomas McHugh is Managing Director and Head of the Mortgage & Rates Group at Cohen & Company Securities, LLC (formally JVB Financial). With more than 25 years of experience in fixed income markets, he oversees the firm’s agency MBS, TBA, and Gestation repo trading desks. His expertise spans Agency MBS and repo trading, liability structuring, counterparty credit and cash management, as well as negotiating complex trading agreements across the broker-dealer and securities lending community.
Prior to joining JVB in 2010, Thomas co-founded Triton Funding Partners, served as Director at Highland Financial Holdings, and began his career as a Senior Analyst at Morgan Stanley. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Economics from Lycoming College.
